We support culture, education and sport
NWR KARBONIA already supports local scouts, neighbourhood and other initiatives such as, for example, the publication of commemorative volumes to mark the anniversary of the school’s foundation, co-organisation of sports events, chess tournaments for both young people and adults, sponsorship of raffles and support for the local church choir in which a number of talented people sing, which also participates in various events and perform publicly.
NWR KARBONIA is also committed to promoting the music talents of the region. The Company helped to fund the recording of an album by the band “Singers”, which come from the village of Piece in the municipality of Gaszowice and which are popular in the region. Singer Mateusz Piecowski has appeared on one of the most watched music programmes on Polish TV, “Battle of the voices”. He sings with the team of Piotr Kupicha – the leader of the band “Feel” from Katowice. Mateusz Piecowski is a graduate of the Youth Cultural Regional Club, based in Czerwionka-Leszczyny, which is supported by NWR KARBONIA. The club organizes festivals of youth culture, recitation contests, workshops and training for teachers and artists.
